Some delicious bite-sized coconut oatmeal squares that are perfect for any occasion. I substituted toasted walnuts on top of mine, but they still turned out wonderfully. They’re an absolute hit with everyone in my family. Oh yeah.. they’re also wheat free!! ( I would say gluten free, but in some cases the oats are laced with wheat flour and I can’t guarantee the gluten-free ness. Since I’m not allergic to wheat- merely intolerant- I can handle trace amounts)
I made the mistake of watching Gordon Ramsay’s Christmas Special on the food network the other night, and I fell in love with this simple and delicious recipe. Pictured above is his Pannacotta with a Pomegranate Glaze.
i love sir patrick stewart more with each passing day.
See, guys. This is how you do it. Notice the words “Not all men are like that” are never spoken.
I get this completely irrational and projected feeling that Patrick Stewart figured something out when he was 65 that he needed to figure out his whole life and that made him finally able to be happy and it makes me so happy to see him happy I just want to cuddle the idea of his happiness.
"My body, my choice" only makes sense when someone else’s life isn’t at stake.
Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.
See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.
Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.
To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.
You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.
I’m almost done with EMT school, and I can verify this 100%. We don’t give a shit what you’ve taken or how illegal it may be. We want to know what and how much so we can save your ass. Unless its directly related to a crime scene in some way, we don’t tell.
It makes me enraged and also deeply saddened that the police state has become so entwined with every aspect of our lives that people are afraid to tell the truth to people trying to render them with emergency care. We’ve broken ourselves.
Boost because everyone should know!!!
Yes seriously, tell them. Never ever lie to anyone who can help save your life.
Hi there! I suppose you're interested to know a little bit about me huh? Well, firstly, thanks for visiting my page! I've only been on here for a little while, but your support really makes it worth it.
Now, about me...
I'm really not an extra-ordinary small town girl. I play video games- lots of them- although I prefer mmorpgs (For any non-gamer, those are games like World of Warcraft). I also do archery, unfortunately, I don't shoot much anymore. Now, I specialize in sailing and rugby, (even though I'm much better at the former).
As for likes and dislikes- beginning with music- I absolutely love Blessthefall, Bring Me The Horizon, Escape the Fate, Alesana, Attack Attack, Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides and Never shout Never. The list goes on, but I think you get an idea.
I love food. I love all sorts of food. In particular, I love smoked oysters...
Did I also mention I am a bit of a nerd?
I love to read, write (You may see some day dreaming come out in the way of written passages), draw (Maybe some drawings too), and take pictures. Hopefully one day I'll be able to photograph a bunch of different countries and cultures, as I dream of travelling,( By the way, if you've read this far, you must be pretty fricken awesome! I probably would have dozed off by now. -hands you a cookie-).
On the top of my list stand, Venice, Rome, The Galapagos Islands, England (again), Spain, South America, maybe a Safari in Africa, and so on. Might take me a while to afford all that, but, HEY, a girl's gotta dream right?
Anywho, I hope you take some time to check out my page, sent me a message (and when I figure out how to send messages back you'll get a reply) and subscribe. I promise you wont be disappointed! :D
